Te Henui Chapel

In an idyllic setting away from street noise and surrounded by trees, this funeral and wedding chapel demanded a design that was equally special.
It got it.

From the covered entrance, to the soffits; the bespoke pews and leaners to the intricate lectern and spectacular ceiling, the rich tones of Plymasters Meranti ply are everywhere; creating an atmosphere that inspires contemplation and wonder.
As project manager Steve Fry from Pepper Construction puts it; “Every time you look up, you’ll be looking at Meranti. It’s very impressive.” But what you don’t see is just as important.

The craftsmanship that went into the project included millimetre-perfect, suspended rondo system mounted, acoustic panels (also in Meranti) by specialists PS Interiors. Steve said Plymasters service was also impressive. “The guys getting it to us were very accommodating.”

After all the care and hard work, it’s appropriate that this one-of-a-kind building will be the backdrop to so many precious memories.

This beautiful project was designed by Architect Scott Ferguson from Jackson Architects and built by Pepper Construction.
