The build process is streamlined with the Pre-Finished Rapidline Birch, which allowed Fox Cabins to finish this project efficiently on a deadline. The pre-finished UV lacquered coating means that joiners don’t have to worry about prep, coating and clean up, significantly cutting down on time during the building process.

Rapidline Birch makes for a warm, cozy interior with light-blonde veneer enhancing the natural light in this cabin. The birch will beautifully reflect the warm orange when the fire place is going, resulting in welcoming guest experience no matter the weather.

Fox Cabins has used our Rapidline Birch Pre not only for the stunning wall and ceiling linings but also for the beams supporting the roof. This creates an immersive, harmonious space with the same Birch colour throughout the cabin. The beams are made of several strips of Pre-finished Rapidline Birch pressed together making a fantastic exposed edge beam that is both sturdy and aesthetically pleasing.

15 minutes from Gisborne on the East Coast of the North Island, the accommodation is situated on the edge of a wetland lake on the property and consists of a cosy sleeping cabin and a semi-outdoor bathroom.

Interconnecting decks and boardwalks immerse you in the wetland surrounds and connect the different elements of the property. A long jetty out to a viewing platform on the lake is the perfect place to launch the paddleboards for a peaceful paddle around the lake.
