Classique Eucalyptus Pre is pre-finished so there’s no need to jib-stop or paint. That’s it. Job done. This is a Eucalyptus Veneer on a poplar plywood with a UV lacquer coating pre applied in the factory. It saves time and costs without compromising the finish.  The Classique Plywood range is specifically designed for wall and ceiling lining applications. It is a high-grade interior ply with a Euro Poplar core available unfinished or pre-finished. Beautiful and lightweight, the Eucalyptus veneer has an attractive stripe grain pattern. This is a decorative interior product that is non-structural.

 The unique stripe grain pattern of Eucalyptus Veneers has high variation in shades and colours from dark brown to soft brown and pink resulting in a striking grain pattern which varies in shades and colours from sheet to sheet.

The deviation of colour between faces exist in all natural woods, this is even more accentuated in eucalyptus, which goes through many different brown to pink shades. All timber when UV Coated increase their contrast of grain colours, particularly Eucalyptus, and Oaks.

Installation with Grain Pattern:

It is necessary for the installer to select them for placement when used for decorative walls or ceilings (if they want to find some homogeneity in the colour). Select carefully which piece to place next to another, so that the contrasts are not so strong and the change of tone flows in a more natural way. The alternative is to put up randomly which is not uncommon, especially if sheets are installed in less than 2400x1200 sizes.

Our European supplier does not specify CC over against 1/4 Cut (or vice versa) for the Classique range, so this needs to be considered. The sheets of Oaks and Eucalyptus do tend to look like a 1/4 Cut grain.

*Oversized 2440 x 1220 sheets are intentionally crafted for easy trimming, giving our customers the flexibility to customise them according to their clients' specific requirements. It allows for a perfect edge to be achieved when installing on-site linings.
